Simulations for Logistics Training and Mission Planning
Disaster response and humanitarian supply chains need to react quickly and effectively to unexpected events. We worked with the Global Logistics Cluster of the World Food Program on a proof of concept project to create an online training and planning platform for their logistics staff and staff from other organizations they partner with. The result of that project is available as a case study in our online library. It's called "Nepal Earthquake Disaster Response - 2015".
This humanitarian supply chain model is built with real data. Simulations show what actually happened. You respond to make improvements in the supply chain design to fix problems that arise in the simulations. Use what you learn in these simulations to design and plan supply chains for new missions.
Design and Monitor Supply Chains Anywhere in the World
Quickly model any supply chain by defining the four entities - products, facilities, vehicles, routes. Place them on a map of the world. Run simulatons to see how well they perform. Keep improving your design to increase the efficiency and reduce the cost of the supply chains you design. Find out what modes of transportation and what facility locations work best.
Use a steamlined 5-Step process to plan the supply chains and logistics operations that support disaster response missions - Mission and Operations Planning.
