Four Entities Define Any Supply Chain
All supply chains are composed of four types of entities, and their interactions determine how well a supply chain will work:
- Products - things in demand at various facilities
- Facilities - places where products are made, stored, sold or consumed
- Vehicles - mechanisms to move products between facilities
- Routes - paths for vehicles to move products between facilities
Define these entities and drag/drop their entity icons to place them on a digital map (like Google Maps). Zoom in on the map and put them where they really are, or where you want them to be.
Then run simulations to see how well that supply chain works. Keep improving the supply chain design based on simulation results.
Easy and Accurate Supply Chain Simulations
